It is easier to win a division if there are less teams in it. It would be easier to win a division if there were two teams than if there were say 20 teams in one division- this is obvious. Therefore American League West teams have statistical advantage over the National League Central teams.
Why doesn’t the commissioner move the Houston Astros to American League West and everyone is happy!!!
In a game of stats we cannot give any team any statistical advantages.
You are definitely correct, but the fact of the matter is, you cannot have odd number of teams in each league. Baseball is played everyday and there are only a few interleague games. That means one team in each league would be sitting idle everyday with 15 teams in each league. Hope this makes sense.
Why are there six teams in National League Central and there are only four teams in American League West?

Then you have an interleague game every day. It’s not a bad idea, but there is a certain group of baseball fans that get their underwear in a bunch over things like that.

Since when is south eastern Texas the west?
That’s pretty central, and plus there’s already a team from Texas in the division…if anything, the rangers should be in the central too…grab a map.
