It closed in 1994, on September 5th. The park just kept the infastructure in place until 2004 and told people it was just “down for maintainance” between those years.

    I liked the …
I liked the Disneyland version better for certain reasons, such as the way they had the mermaids swimming around, etc. BUT, I like that this version seems longer and is darker. The whole 20k theme is really cool.

I loved this ride I have fond memories of my grandmommy yelling ” it smells like a toilet in here” when I was 10 years old which was hilarious.

As a six year old …
As a six year old this ride was truly magical. Even though it was very phony looking to older riders. I consider it a loss.

    In WDW they can’t …
In WDW they can’t use the space underwater anymore b/c the walls aren’t thick enough, and it’ll explode into the infamous underground city that’s beneath MK… imagine a soggy Mickey and Minnie:(

  7. CrystalJupiter says:

    I love that there …
I love that there are mermaids. :D

I would’ve wanted to go on this.

    I wish I could have …
I wish I could have seen this before they got rid of it. How ironic though that they are now planning an under the sea ride for Ariel where this once was. I wonder if they kept all the structures, just covered them up because the pooh playground only comprises a few hundred square feet of the space.

    it was my late …
it was my late grandmas and my moms fav ride we went 4 my first time and i wanted to go on it so much but we got there and ariel was telling stories. I HATE NEW DISNEY!

    Hmm, I guess Nemo …
Hmm, I guess Nemo was a pretty clever innovation. Sad though because it’s the last of the people that actually worked on these. Maybe their family gets some of pieces. Not to mention, going back to remember and it’s not there! Crap! Thanks for the upload :)

    Hey, this is cool! …
Hey, this is cool! This was called “Submarine Voyage” here in California before it “resurfaced” to become,
    Nemo’s Submarine Adventure.

The boats used in this ride at WDW were scrapped when the ride closed, with one going to their private island in the Bahamas as a coral, and two others being sent elsewhere in the Caribbean, where hurricanes destroyed them.

I’m pretty sure this ride was at Magic Kingdom, not EPCOT where Nemo is. It’s where Ariel’s Grotto is now. I think there’s still a version of this ride in California.
