I like both keeper and redrafts, but I would say my favorite would be keepers. What I like is what you can do on ecouchcoach.com. You can create a "keeper" league but it allows the administrator of the league to have people only "keep" a certain amount of players each year. So if I was the admin and only wanted teams to keep 6 players on the team and put all the others into the draft I could. It's a versatile website that gives me alot of control to put new spins on "keeper" leagues. That is why I like keepers more. However, like mentioned above you have to have players who are interested to make the league fun. However, if someone drops out, ecouchcoach.com allows you to assign there team to another user without having to drop all the players and such. Best of all it is all FREE so I can't argue with that.

I like keeper leagues because it is more similar to actual sports leagues. The initial draft is way more important though so I would make sure you do as much homework as possible as a bad draft can screw you for a long time. I would also make sure that you have committed people because nothing is worse than being in a keeper league with the guy or girl who stops playing because he had a bad draft.

You may want to consider a "term" limit on keepers so someone cannot franchise the likes of a Thomlinson for his entire career all because someone was lucky enough to draw the first pick. This year, as Commissioner of my league, I installed a new rule that each owner loses the pick in the following year for the round in which he/she picked their keeper. Therefore, I picked Larry Johnson in the first round and TO in the seventh round last year. I am keeping TO so I only lose a seventh round pick. It makes keepers more strategic and frees up the likes of a Larry Johnson in this case.

It is almost impossible to recruit new teams when someone decides not to stay in the league and they got rid of all their potential keepers

I like playing in reg. AND keeper leagues. Variety is great. If I had to choose I would go w/ the keepers tho. The only thing I hate would be if I drafted poorly the first year. (I didn't: I got Owens and Tomlinson 7 years ago!) Going for my 5th straight championship!
