What themes are there in 20000 leagues under the sea?

What themes can you find in 20000 leagues under the sea? I just read it and I think it’s a very good book but I don’t quite get the central theme the author wants the reader to know – does it have something to do with the way Captain Nemo wants to go away from humans or what?

Your classic themes are "Man against man," "Man against nature," and "Man against society."

All three of these themes appear in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, but "Man against Society" is the prevailing one.

Now you need to identify where these themes occur for your paper.
