Isn’t the proposal of the Premier League to have a Premiership match in other countries ludicrous?

A 39th Premier League game in a country in some other continent?! Come on…
I too not from England, but I still think it’s a stupid idea. Imagine having a league match in your country played elsewhere. You can’t quite call it the ENGLISH(/whichever country)Premier League anymore, could you?

Ridiculous

I remember earlier this year when the Villians came to play MLS teams. It was a neat warmup, a preseason gimmick…but we already have tournaments where EPL teams play each other (Carling, FA), and another pair where they can (UEFA, Champions’), plus other "warm-ups" like Intertoto, Emirates. It’s getting to be a bit much. This isn’t like the states where if I wanted to go from NC to Los Angeles to see the Galaxy, I’m basically SOL. The travel time and expenses from Germany, say, to London to see a major English power play just isn’t that much. Us going over there to see a game starts to get difficult, and I am fairly sure that in my lifetime, in my current financial trouble, I won’t get to do it. still, the 20 teams play 38 EPL games and that should be that. They already play so many games as it is, exhaustion begins to set in, and that means injuries, sooner or later. Fabregasly yours, Ian.

They don’t want to bring in video and lazar technologies coz that would alter the game too much.
Yet they want to the premier league to go to Perth, Bangkok, Miami and the rest of the world for points!
    All I can say is
It is a funny old game!
