Does any National League team have a legitimate chance of making the World Series besides the Phillies?

They have a solid rotation and bullpen and they have the most potent offense in the NL. How many other teams, if any, have a chance to compete with the Phillies in the National League? I’m struggling to come up with any. Please provide facts or evidence behind your opinion.

The National League being a weaker league doesn’t have much a chance of doing anything against the American League.

ESPN when they did their analysis all 3- teams listed the St. Louis Cardinals and the Colorado Rockies as the two biggest threats in the National League to the Phillies. Both teams have very good pitching, hitting and defense just like the Phillies.

I would really like to see the Giants win from the National League.

At the moment the Cardinals look stronger than the Phillies.

Dodgers always seem to be a big threat to the phillies. Cardinals as well.

Cardinals, Dodgers, Rockies, Giants, and maybe the Mets will all compete with the Phillies.

Since any team can win in the playoffs, there will be 3 other teams that will have a legitimate chance right off the bat.

Doesn’t matter who they are. They don’t have to be better than the Phillies all season, just better 3 out of 5 or 4 out of 7 games.

The Cardinals are the only ones. They have a solid rotation, a powerful offense and play some good defense. They have Albert Pujols and Matt Holliday, they just are not as mentally strong as the Phillies. They got swept by the Dodgers last year, then the Dodgers went on to lost in 5 games versus the Phils so I don’t consider the Cards big competition. They’re team is almost the same as last year, so if they couldn’t win last year , how can they be a legit contender this year?

Mets would be lucky to make the playoffs.
    Braves are minor contenders.
    Brewers have improved.
    Dodgers have gotten worse.
Giants still don’t have an offense.

At the end of the day the Phillies are better than any other team in the NL.

The Dodgers could, but they dont have the batting depth that the phillies do, or the pitching rotation

the Rockies i cant see beating them, the cardinals have the 2 big sluggers, but the middle of the Phillies batting order is the best in all of baseball. The middle four had like 150HRs just between them last season, and thats without Jimmy Rollins and Shane Victorino

If you make the playoffs, anything can happen. So yes, at least 3 other teams have a legitimate shot.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Rockies, Cardinals, Giants or even the Diamondbacks make a run for it. I also wouldnt count out the Marlins and Dodgers either.

The Rockies’ young offense is beginning to unfold. Cards, of course with Holiday, still have a quiet underestimated starting rotation behind Wainwright and Carpenter and Joel Pinero.

The Giants look to improve on offense and if they can do this, they will scare some teams.

And the D’backs with Webb possibly making a return and guys like Chris Young and Stephen Drew more time to try and develop. Reynolds and Upton already at that stage.

Right now at least 8 others do.

The Mets, Braves, Marlins, Cardinals, Cubs, Dodgers, Giants, and Rockies.

Unless the Phillies fall, I see either the Cardinals or Dodgers or Giants 3 teams I think they can truly get and win the World Series.
